Founder of Regulus Capital and a veteran of the MENA alternative sector space. Shailesh was previously the Head of Alternative investments at Global Investment House. He has set up the Private Equity business at his previous assignment and led it to become the 16th largest PE business in Asia (ranked by PEI Asia) and 2nd in MENA, with AUM of US$ 3 billion. Shailesh has served on the board of 12 companies, and was ranked as one of the top 50 most influential people in the regional financial services industry. He was also awarded “Outstanding Achievement by an Individual” in 2013 by MENA Fund Manager Performance

Shailesh is one of the most reputable PE investors in the region with more than 58 transactions executed. Most of these transactions were sourced through his team’s personal relationships. He is the largest regional investor in medium size family businesses with more than 30 transactions and was instrumental in managing 19 exits (14 Initial Public Offerings (IPO) and 5 trade sales.

He has been associated with Gulf Pinnacle Logistics since its formation and is a key member of the senior management team. Formerly, a Senior Director at Global Capital Management, the Private Equity arm of Global Investment House, Nrupaditya brings 18 years of experience in investments, financial due diligence, business valuation, terms negotiation, companies value enhancement and governance improvement in the MENA region.

He successfully led the only GDR raised by a Kuwaiti company, raising a total of $1.1bn in GDR and listing in the London Stock Exchange. Nrupaditya has also managed a debt restructuring fund of $1.4bn, and was member of investment committees of various private equity funds investing in 14 countries spread across GCC, North Africa and Asia. Prior to joining Al Masah Capital Limited, Singhdeo was a Private Equity Director at GCM, and has also held roles at KPMG and Ernst & Young

Amitava Ghosal | Board Member

He is responsible for expanding the reach of the healthcare. Prior to that, Amitava was a Partner at Global Capital Management (GCM), the Private Equity Arm of Global Investment House, and was instrumental in expanding its Private Equity Initiatives.

Amitava has more than 16 years of experience in financial services and fund management. His experience is primarily in deal sourcing and execution, company value enhancement and governance improvement. He has much relevant transactional experience in education, healthcare, retail and financial services, and has also worked with ICRA Ltd. (an associate of Moody's) and Phillips (India) Ltd in corporate finance and credit rating. Amitava holds a degree in B. Engineering and post-graduate in Management.

Arindam Bose | Board Member

He has over fifteen years of experience in investment banking, private equity, wealth management and client relationship management. He has successfully concluded over $1 billion in equity finance transactions over his career. Formerly, Arindam was a Director in the Global Banking & Markets Group at Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was responsible for originating and managing transactions for its investment banking business. Prior to that he has worked in the regional investment banking space and has been a major contributor to 3 of the largest IPO’s in the UAE. His previous roles have included International Private banking at Coutts & Company, The National Investor, The Government of Dubai and the World Bank Group.

Arindam was registered with the FSA after completing his IMC exams conducted by the UK Society of Investment Professionals. He has also completed his executive training at Manchester University. He enjoys a very strong relationship with key influential figures in the region.

Don Lim | Board Member

Don is currently an Executive Director at Regulus Capital. He has more than 13 years of experience spanning strategic investments, venture capital and private equity. Prior to joining Regulus Capital, Don held various senior positions with Al Masah Capital, GCM and Cap Vista. At Al Masah Capital, he has been instrumental in building the education and healthcare platform in the MENASEA region and is also responsible for the completion of investments in almost 20 education companies in the past 24 months spanning the GCC region and Singapore.

Previously, he has worked with Global Capital Management (Kuwait) and Singapore Ministry of Defense. He has a M.Sc. from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; B.Eng. from Imperial College, London; and an ACCA qualification.

Chardutta Joshi | Board Member

Mr Charudutta is the Co-Head of Investors Relations at Al Masah Capital. Has more than 14 years of experience in wealth management and business development. Prior to joining Al Masah Capital, Charudutta was the Country Head for ICICI Bank Qatar. Charudutta has a Bachelors in Commerce and a Post-graduate certification in Management.

Jamal H. Al-Barrak | Board Member

With over 18 years of banking and investment experience, Mr. Al-Barrak presents the Board with crucial contacts and business links in Kuwait. Previously, Mr. Al-Barrak has worked with Gulf Bank in various positions including Senior Investment Manager for the Chief Executive Officer, Assistant General Manager for Investments and for Corporate Finance. He also spearheaded the development and management of Electronic Channels in the bank.

Currently, he works as the General Manager, Investment Department at the Kuwait International Bank. Mr. Al-Barrak has also served in numerous Boards and investment committees. He holds an MBA and Bachelor of Arts from Bentley University in Massachusetts. He has also attended management and corporate finance programs at INSEAD and Harvard University Business School.

Eyad Abu Hweij | Board Member

Mr. Eyad is the co-founder of Noble Partners. He has more than 15 years of regional investment experience spanning across healthcare, education, banking, finance, retail, transportation and industrial sectors. He has conducted due diligence, invested and made exits in these sectors since 2006. Previously, Mr. Abu Huwaij has worked with Global Capital Management (Kuwait), KPMG and Grant Thornton LLP. He holds an MBA from Cass Business School of City University London.
